We’ve put together the most common questions we get asked about crop spraying system
What size containers can be used with the AccuRite coupler?
AccuRite is designed to handle containers of different shapes and sizes from 1 liter to 20 liters. The system is equipped with a supporting bar that ensures a tight fit with containers, no matter their size.
What is the minimum amount of fluid that can be measured accurately with AccuRite?
The minimum fluid amount that can be used with AccuRite is 0.5 liters. Liquid can be added by a scale of 0.1 liters (0.5 liters, 0.6 liters, 0.7 liters, etc.) We created this system based on a market survey of farmers in the Netherlands and Denmark to ensure it meets farmers’ requirements.
Can AccuRite handle fluids with different thicknesses?
AccuRite works with fluids with varying viscosities, meaning you can use fluids of different thicknesses. The only difference with high viscosity fluids is that rinsing time may increase.
Does AccuRite rinse the outside of the cap after partial emptying?
Yes. AccuRite rinses the easyconnect cap and the entire system after a partial drain to ensure there are no leftover pesticides in the cap or the system.
Is it possible to test the system before it becomes available for sale?
Tefen will be running field tests where farmers can review the system in Israel until October. After that, we plan to conduct additional testing in Europe.
Can AccuRite be used with drone sprayers?
Currently, AccuRite can only be used with crop sprayers or at a filling station. In the future, we may create a different model for drone sprayers.
Can farmers install the AccuRite system themselves?
We believe that farmers with technical skills will be able to install AccuRite on their own. However, we recommend discussing this with the distributors and sprayer dealers who will be providing the system.
What will be the cost of the AccuRite system?
There is not yet a specific price for AccuRite because Tefen will be working with a distribution network including sprayer manufacturers and dealers to provide the product. However, we guarantee the price will be competitive and provide significant value for the cost.
When will AccuRite be available?
We estimate that the system will be available for sale by the end of 2022.
Why a Closed Transfer System is Essential for Crop Spraying?
Crop spraying is necessary for protecting crops and improving yield. However, it can also contaminate water and risk the safety of sprayers and operators.
