It is estimated that 2.6 billion people have no satisfactory access to drinking water. The production of drinking water in rural areas or in emergency times requires reliable equipment suitable for extreme conditions such as lack of electricity or other local constraints. Tefen MixRite Dosing Pumps can be used for automatic preparation of disinfecting solutions. The water-powered MixRite pumps operate without electricity, so they can also be used in remote areas for water purification to prevent diseases.
The proportional MixRite pumps guarantee accurate dosing of disinfectants, independently of pressure and flow variations in the water systems. When installed in line, they can be used for disinfection whenever required (the specific intervals are determined according to hygiene protocols). They may also be used to demineralize water at the osmosis unit output. In some cases (hard water, hydroponics, etc.), the water pH must be continuously monitored and then corrected or buffered. If the acid concentration in the stock solution is more than 6%, the special PVDF models are recommended.
